Happy New Year! I apologize for taking so long in getting the monthly update on line. I hope the thousands of you that wait with baited breath in hearty anticipation every month for these little gems haven't been inconvenienced too much and have been able to get on with your lives alright. I am fine at this end and actually have been working on the 24x36 in. oil of the Crow Blessing ceremony I attended this fall at a friends ranch. The Indian in the headdress watercolors I have been posting were all studies for this piece and I am having a lot of fun painting it. Unfortunatly it isn't quite done but as soon as it is I will post it in New Work. Give me about a week.
Life in Nye continues to be fun and interesting. The big horn sheep herd came down out of the high country to their traditional winter pasture and I have been photographing them for future reference. There are five big full curl or nearly full curl rams this year as well as around 25 ewes and lambs. It is as healthy a herd as I have seen in quite a while. The weather has been cold and snowy. The river is frozen in most places. I have enough firewood to keep a good blaze in the fireplace and the freezers are still full.
I hope the new year is full of good times and health for you and yours. Thank you for dropping by.
P.S. A special hello to my nephew Morgan who says he checks my web site every now and then. Thanks, Buddy. It was good to see you at Christmas.
Tom - I've been meaning to search down your site for a while and glad that I finally made it today! Your work is wonderful and it's great to have a link to Nye for those times when we can't be there. Great to see you over the holidays - take care.

Tom,
Great post. Glad to hear the sheep are back and hope I can see them while I am there in Feb. Also happy that the clean up is done on the ridge. Great work we all did! It is cold here and that does away with the one reason to be here in the winter so I am heading west! See you 2/4.
