Howdy and wow, December already. I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and wish you a safe and merry Christmas season. Why limit it to just one day? Although it is good to have some direction and Christmas is a very fine destination being a birthday party for Jesus and all.
All is well here in Nye. A few inches of snow have fallen in the past couple of days and today, although breaking with clear, blue skies, it is chilly enough to enjoy the fire in the fireplace. Throwing another log on the fire is a good place to be. It is plenty cozy over by the easel though, so as soon as I finish uploading the latest painting I am going to start another. This one is the view of Pyramid Mountain from up here on the hill where I live. It is the mountain I see from bed in the morning over coffee. The view of it from the deck is nice, too. It is up on the Fishtail Plateau of the Beartooth Mountains right next to the second highest mountain in Montana: Mt. Wood. The horses are Babe, Clyde, and Cinch. I love living up here. The next project is going to be a different view of the same plateau ( there are ten distinct plateaus in the Beartooths) where a friend and neighbor had Lenard Bends and Joseph Medicine Crow (the war chief and Sundance leader of the Crow Tribe respectively) do a blessing ceremony. I am going to try to do a painting with that as its theme. I hope to be done by Christmas so with that in mind I think I'd best sign off for now and get to it! Thanks for dropping by. The new work is a commission and therefor not for sale but I posted it anyway and hope you like it. Also, don't forget that in a downturn and shaky economy I recommend investing in art. In fact, I am always glad to have you invest in mine! Thankyou for a good year. Sincerely, Tom
Hey you old son of a gun. The site looks real good. I am impressed! I know you are an artist and story teller, but I didn't know you could put the thoughts down on paper so well.
The 4 way by pass and some of the other shit they did, does not afford me the luxury of a cocktail, so that is why I never see you. Anyways, take care, Happy New Year and all the best.
